For the past 3-4 months I have been following a 4-day a week workout plan that includes swimming one miles (with kickboard and flippers) two days weekly, and 30 mins elliptical-30 mins weights two days weekly......I am 5'2'' and weigh 122 lbs. All of my weight is in my hips, butt and thighs. So far I have not lost anything (actually I gained 4 lbs!) and I only notice a slight difference in my legs...nothing in the butt, hip, thigh area...my goal is to lose weight in these areas and also to tone...am I doing the wrong type of exercises?? |

You may want to examine your diet. In my opinion, 80% of your results are in what you eat. As far as exercise goes, you want to exercise at an intensity that will effect your body. Lifting challenging weights is crucial for change in body shape. Your cardiovascular exercise should be uncomfortable, not leisurely. Try cleaning up your diet and pushing yourself past your comfort zone. If you still are not seeing results, contact a GAC personal trainer. |
