How long would it take to notice a difference in size (working out) and how often do i need to work out to get a difference.
That depends on how committed to diet and training you are and how intense you are training. Also, are you trying to increase muscle mass or lose body fat? Hopefully if you are following a clean diet (and one that is appropriate for you goals) and pushing yourself in the weight room, you should notice a difference within four weeks.
