I would like to be a personal trainer. What is required to become one and work out at the genesys facility, because that is where i would like to work. Also walk me through a day in the life of a personal trainer, What do you do how many clients do you have a day, how many days a week do you work, how many hours etc etc

To become a personal trainer at Genesys Athletic Club you would need the following:
4 year degree from an University (Kinesiology and Exercise Science majors preferred)
National certification (ACSM, NASM and NSCA preferred)
At least one year work experience in the field

As for the trainer workout load, it depends on the personal trainer. Most of our trainers are at full-time status, yet we do allow part-time employment. Average work week consists of 28-30 sessions per week at one-hour intervals. The trainers decides how many days/hours they work, but to remain at full-time they must complete 120 billed sessions per month. ]
If you have all the above requirements, please contact Jen Colombo for employment opportunities. If you are still attending college, internships are available at the beginning of every semester.
